Hospitak Airway Adapters
A Hospitak Airway Adapter is used as an accessory connector are used in a wide variety of respiratory applications, typically for extending the airway circuits and attaching various breathing circuit components, such as reservoir bags. Some Hospitak Airway Adapters have been found to be blocked or occluded, potentially preventing exhalation or inhalation. This could result in serious or life-threatening injury to patients.
Although Hospitak Airway Adapters are primarily distributed to medical facilities, some units could be distributed for home use. Consumers who have one of these recalled Hospitak Airway Adapters should stop using it, contact their physicians and contact Unomedical, Inc.
Subsequent investigation by the company indicates that other lots of Hospitak Airway Adapters, including airway adaptors used in other medical devices, may have been affected.
